Fears over music fees

Some North Lanarkshire pupils are reluctant to opt for Standard grade music because of the council's decision (TESS, May 3) to impose charges for instrumental tuition, the local association of the Educational Institute of Scotland says.

The union has asked school boards to monitor the effects.
