The National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers is feeling more than usually bullish, having held a party at James Watt College in Greenock to celebrate increasing its membership there from nil to more than 30 in eight weeks.

Tino Ferri, who represents Scotland on the national executive, ebulliently ascribes the success to “our policy in dealing with bullying in the workplace”. Who can the 30 recruits possibly be seeking protection from?
