The Salters’ Institute and the Royal Society of Chemistry have teamed up to run a series of festivals. Schools in the UK are each invited to enter one team of four students from Years 7 and 8 (or the Scottish and Irish equivalents) by January 31 for one of the festivals held at universities between late March and mid June. The students spend the day in fun chemistry sessions and winning teams receive cash prizes. The Institute also organises chemistry camps for Year 10 students at six universities with schools nominating one student each who is enthusiastic about the subject.
