The good and the great were wheeled out for the launch of a prestigious new national internet portal in London earlier this month. Funded by the National Lottery (New Opportunities Find), EnrichUK brings together about 50 library, gallery and museum websites to create a “panorama of culture, history and community resources” that cost pound;50 million. It brings together the fruits of the massive investments made to help museums and other organisations to digitise their collections so that they can be seen worldwide.
