THE results of the biggest inquiry into post-school education in Scotland for nearly half a century will be revealed in Edinburgh next Tuesday.
The parliamentary lifelong learning committee will publish an interim report of its 10-month inquiry, followed by a major consultation and a national conference in Edinburgh in April.
It is understood there was cross-party agreement for the recommendations. Among issues covered are the funding of lifelong learning, both in institutions and for individuals; pathways and routes for learners; delivery of courses; workplace learning; and the way colleges and universities are run.
The final report will be published on June 12.
