LADY Young said in her defence of Section 28 (TES, July 28) that she will fight for the rights of children as long as she has breath. This beggars belief. She should fight for those who need help most, rather than seeking to perpetuate an atmosphere that leads to untold grief and unhappiness.
The supporters of Section 28 seem to believe that children become gay if their teahers suggest that all individuals deserve equal respect. Their view is manifestly absurd. Let us prove that we as a nation understand logic and human rights before the European Court is obliged to explain these concepts to us.
