Students and teachers can boldly go for fresh insights into space at the new Learning Zone at the British National Space Centre’s website. The site is designed for four sets of users: space explorers (7 to 14-year-olds); advanced explorers (14 to 18-year-olds); teachers; and parents. Younger students are hosted by cartoon-character Cosmo for a planet-by-planet guide that includes further information (in pdf or Word format) and statistics.

There are also links to a quiz and a game. Older students get a more sedate approach, with explanations of the Big Bang theory and supporting evidence from the Hubble telescope.
