No doubt at some time in the new millennium, and sooner rather than later, computers will not need keyboards, but for the coming decade(s) surely the core skill is touch-typing.

Nobody can thrive without being able to type quickly and accurately. I say this with feeling, compose it with two fingers and bless the spellcheck which, “literally”, rescues me.
