Just 10 teachers will take part in the first module of the pilot chartered teacher programme, starting this September, the General Teaching Council for Wales has announced. Eight partnerships have been appointed to train the expected 100 teachers, who will work towards gaining professional status through a taught or accredited route over the next two years.
