Firth recalls ‘boring’ lessons

Colin Firth, the heartthrob actor, confessed this week that school had been difficult for him.

Speaking on Radio 4‘s Desert Island Discs, he told Sue Lawley, the presenter, that school was boring and mediocre, and that “nothing they taught me seemed to be of any interest”. Mr Firth’s former headteacher had previously told The TES that the actor had an unremarkable academic career.
