Implausibly enough, a pupil reports that his colleague at Greenfield Academy, “Coarse Davie” McManus, senior biology teacher and renowned for his earthy approach to student relationships, is commended with five stars in all rating categories for joining with the pupils in last session’s end-of-term missile fight.
On this occasion, perhaps, a case of fiction being stranger than truth. Or is it? To mark this auspicious occasion, we have decided to give Morris his very own permanent home on the back page every month, as alert readers will have spotted last week.
