LANCASTER and Morecambe college’s new training flat for people with disabilities, Rotary House, was formally opened by the high sheriff of Lancashire on December 8. The new facility has been supported by five local rotary clubs to mark the new millennium. It was created by converting three redundant garages on campus into a specialised unit equipped to provide residents with independent living skills.

Mark for learning STOCKPORT college of further and higher education’s flexible learning service has been awarded the British Association for Open Learning (BAOL) quality mark. The mark is designed to be relevant to the ways in which organisations are involved in open and flexible learning.
