All four schools in Barry, Vale of Glamorgan, affected by July’s floods are now open after weeks of mopping up and late starts to the new school term. However, Tim Cox, Vale of Glamorgan secretary for education union the NASUWT, condemned the Assembly government for failing to respond like Westminster did to flood-hit schools in England.
