Teachers' acceptance of the post-McCrone deal still rankles in the ranks.

The NAS membership narrowly voted in favour but delegates rejected an executive-backd motion by 16 votes to eight on spreading the benefits south of the border.

John Kelly, East Dunbartonshire, accused leaders of the Educational Institute of Scotland of "signing an open cheque for management".
