Museum of Flight, East Fortune Airfield, East Lothian Concorde may be out of service now but you can still get a taste of supersonic travel at Scotland’s Museum of Flight, where this iconic aircraft is one of the major attractions. In addition to Concorde, there are exhibitions on the history of military aviation, short haul passenger travel and conservation and storage. Throughout the summer holidays, there are free drop-in activities for families and children every Sunday and Tuesday. Visitors who want to step on board Concorde and “see where rock stars and royalty would have sipped champagne” must book in advance for the special Boarding Pass experience, which lasts approximately 30 minutes. For further information, tel: 01620 880308, or visit the National Museums of Scotland’s website: www.nms.ac.uk
