Kingussie High has played one of the main roles in putting together a festival that combines food and film.

The Kingussie Food on Film Festival, now in its fourth year, started in earnest yesterday and runs until Sunday.

Pupils have been involved in workshops looking at film-making, dressing venues and hosting events, aimed at young people across Highland and Moray.

Celebrity chefs and film-makers are among those sharing their passions and skills, with a food hall showing off the best of Highland produce and a red carpet to be rolled out for a film awards ceremony.

Kingussie High pupils have been particularly excited about hosting a charity preview of a new British feature film starring Dougray Scott and Claire Forlani, No Ordinary Trifle, which includes a cameo from Gordon Ramsay.

Film and television director Marcus DF White, a former pupil, is to return to Kingussie to join a panel of film industry judges for the Highland Youth Awards for Short Food Films.
