KS1-2

Students select key facts from the article and create a poster that communicates the facts to others clearly and simply. They can also make leaflets to hand out at lunchtime informing people of the problems.

KS3

Take the poster created from KS12 and create a dish to combat the problem in the poster.

KS4+

Create a snack, eg a pizza slice, and provide a recipe card for it pointing out what each ingredient does for the body. Sixth-form students can look into profit margins in food production. How much does it cost to make an item selected from a local supermarket and how much is it sold for? They can also contact local suppliers and work with the kitchen to develop a healthy menu over one school week.
