Events have clearly moved on swiftly in Glasgow’s further education world, so swiftly that we know nothing about them.
Information came our way last week that something called “Glasgow College of Further Education” has become involved in an international student exchange with South Africa.
Further scrutiny of the news release, however, reveals that this is not the ultimately rationalised FE system in the city, in which 10 colleges have become one. The “GCFE” should, of course, have read “GCFT” - the Glasgow College of Food Technology.
