Scotland’s under-15 schoolboys’ squad had mixed fortunes in Switzerland.

Following hot on the heels of their 3-0 Victory Shield defeat by Wales, Scotland beat Switzerland 2-1 in their first match in La Chaux de Fonds. Robbie Foy (Castlebrae High) and Chris Geddes (McLaren High) scored the goals.

Scotland then went down 2-1 to France at the same venue, concding a goal six minutes from time. Brian McLean (Mearns Castle High) scored the Scots’ goal.

“We were a bit shell-shocked after losing 3-0 to Wales, but the players came back well and we were unlucky to lose to France,” said manager Billy Henderson.

The team’s next game is against Northern Ireland in the Victory Shield at Kirkcaldy on Thursday.
