Scotland’s Under-15 schoolboys’ team faces England at Chester in its final Victory Shield match next Friday. After losing its opener 3-0 to Wales, Scotland drew 1-1 with Northern Ireland at Stark’s Park, Kirkcaldy.

Jamie Winter (Menzieshill High) gave Scotland the best start with a goal after two minues. Samuel Morrow equalised for the Irish a minute before half-time. Both teams had chances to win the game in the second half, with John Paul Kelly (Castlebrae High) having a good effort saved by the Irish goalkeeper and Stephen Smith (John Ogilvie High) clearing off his line later in the half.
