Edinburgh’s George Heriot’s School is well ahead in the Scottish Schools Football Association’s Senior Girls’ Shield, having already booked its place among the last eight. The independent school has come through the opening three rounds impressively, beating Lasswade High 4-2 away from home at the third hurdle to become the first team to reach the quarter-finals.
