Scotland’s under-18 boys’ squad will be announced later this month following trials last weekend in Alloa. Their first match will be against Northern Ireland in Belfast on February 21, before travelling to face Wales in Flint on March 7.

The remaining two international games will be at home to England on April 4 at Princess Royal Park in Banff and then the Republic of Ireland on April 25 at St Mirren Park, Paisley.

Meanwhile, the Coca-Cola Soccer Sevens competitions for S1 boys and S1-S2 girls kick off tomorrow and will run through to February 28. A total of 460 teams, from Tweedbank in the Borders up to Dingwall in the north, will take part in the competitions, which have grown in popularity over the past couple of years.
