Your eyes might glaze over at the Match of the Day theme tune, but you must know countless children for whom football is overwhelmingly important. The theft of the FA Cup and the rise of women’s football provide opportunities in literacy and history, as do grainy old photographs of men with patent-leather haircuts. As for geography, aspiring minnow teams like Ramsbottom United and Liskeard Athletic need finding on maps. For a free Up for the Cup packTel: 020 7428 4074 Email: george@kidsconnections.co.uk
