Denford, Jaguar and BAE Systems launched the Formula One in Schools Challenge with NGFL minister Michael Wills (right) at BETT to help raise the profile of engineering in a fun and positive way. Students have to design a futuristic F1 car using Computer Aided Desig software as a way of motivating those taking CADCAM classes. Open to all secondary students aged 11 to 18, the challenge stems from the successful Department for Education and Employment CADCAM initiative launched in May 1999.
