Teachers on the lookout for free materials can find themselves awash in the average. For example, the web holds a virtual morass of clipart and digital images for use in stories and presentations for PC and whiteboards. But if you want to see what can be achieved, a visit to the high-tech hothouse that is 2Simple is a must. This company specialises in imaginative, creative software tools for primary and early learning.

Now it has created a website full of delightful images (created by artist Emma Prowse) that can be used freely with that software (and anyone else’s too). Sennay Habteamarim put the site together with 300 images and there are even helpful little videos (with voice-overs from Katie Chart) to show teachers and pupils how to use these free images for classroom projects.
