“Stop, look, listen and live” is the message of new lesson plans on road safety for ages five to 12 developed by the Department for Transport as part of its THINK! campaign. Activities and outdoor fieldwork include researching how weather changes affect road safety and improvising public meetings to discuss zebra crossings. Action Energy offers schools a free survey of their current energy usage identifying low-cost and no-cost energy efficiency measures that can easily be implemented. Involving pupils in these energy projects provides an opportunity to educate them on environmental responsibility. A free advice line, website and publications are also available.
