NATIONAL museums and galleries wiped entry fees for children this week with the Natural History Museum on Monday being the first to open its doors for free. On April 1 next year pensioners will also enjoy free entry to main collections. The following year free admission for all should be possible but the final decision on whether to reinstate universal free admission lies with museum and gallery trustees.
