Sandra Bagshaw has worked for Poolsbrook primary school in Staveley, near Chesterfield, Derbyshire, for 24 years.

Sandra works tirelessly for the school as its caretaker, senior midday supervisor and as a governor. Headteacher Lesley Paddick describes her as a well-loved character who works incredibly hard, often voluntarily. Straight-talking and unfailingly cheerful, she is considered to be “worh her weight in gold”. The school came out of special measures last November and now has a permanent team of teachers - all fans of Sandra.

Please send the name of your Friday Hero - and why they should get a bouquet - to Sarah Bayliss, TES Friday, Admiral House, 66-68 East Smithfield, London E1W 1BX or e-mail her at sarah.bayliss@tes.co.uk. Flowers kindly supplied by Marks and Spencer
