Congratulations to Wendy Wallace, feature writer on Friday magazine, for being named education journalist of the year in the Edexcel Achievement in Education Awards 2001.
Wendy won the pound;2,000 prize for her “first-class reportage that vividly illustrates the daily challenges and dilemmas facing teachers”.
Two other Friday writers - David Newnham and Harvey McGavin - were also shortlisted.
