* If you thought digital cameras couldn’t get any smaller, think again, because FujiFilm and Olympus have introduced the xD-Picture card. Billed as the smallest memory card on the market, it’s roughly the size of a postage stamp, but can currently store up to 128 megabytes of data - FujiFilm says xD cards may eventually hold up to 8 gigabytes. There are also plans to launch adaptors that allow xD cards to be used by digital cameras that normally use CompactFlash memory cards, but FujiFilm says there won’t be any floppy disk adaptors. We may also see PDAs using xD cards in the near future.
