The art department of St Augustine’s Secondary in Glasgow was recently the subject of one of HMI’s mini-inspections - unlucky dips as teachers call them. Tommy Daniels, the principal teacher, must have been specially pleased that the inspector was Bert Biagini, who had studied art under him as a boy and later taught in the department. At least Biagini would know which cupboards to look into.
