SCHOOLS due to pilot the Welsh baccalaureate may not be able to because of uncertainty over funding. Pupils at 19 schools across Wales had been due to sign up to the course, which begins next September. Although the Welsh Assembly has earmarked pound;2.9 million over seven years for the flagship initiative, many heads still do not know how much money they will get for their school. They are reluctant to enter pupils for the qualification until funding is guaranteed.
