On March 19, 500 teachers attended the Teacher Research Conference run by teachers for teachers.
Teachers from all phases talked enthusiastically about teaching, exchanging ideas and reflecting on their own practice. What impressed those attending was not only the quality of the research presented in the workshops but also the range of ideas that were of immediate practical use in classrooms.
The National Teacher Research Panel works in partnership with the Department for Education and Skills, the National Council of School Leadership and the General Teaching Council, and could not have staged this successful event without the support of these sponsors.
The GTC, along with the innovation unit and the network learning communities, provided funding for supply cover for those attending the conference. The panel values the GTC’s commitment to teachers and their professional development.
