G8 switch

The General Teaching Council for Scotland's imposing pile at Clerwood House in the heart of Edinburgh's Corstorphine had, in the careful way the council is noted for doing business, its rooms entitled "G" followed by a series of numbers.

This convention has been changed to allow certain rooms to honour distinguished former registrars. So we now have the Gray room, the Miller room and the Sutherland room.

In retrospect, it was perhaps a bit untimely to change the name of the Miller room. It was formerly known as "G8".
