(Photograph) - It was heads down for the first day of examinations at Hillpark Secondary on Glasgow’s south side when 15 pupils sat their Standard grade in Gaelic, the first subject on the month-long Scottish Qualifications Authority exam timetable. The school has 52 pupils learning Gaelic across the age range and is attracting pupils from many parts of the city. But more teachers fluent in Gaelic would allow the school to expand its range of subjects for Gaelic-medium secondary education, the head claims. News 3
