Colleges should not impose gagging clauses on staff if they leave with a pay-off, according to new guidance for Welsh principals. Only in exceptional cases should golden handshakes be accompanied by confidentiality clauses.

Principals should also be careful if they want to re-hire staff part-time or as consultants, according to the guidelines from the Further Education Funding Council for Wales.
