Gambia jaunt for young fund-raisers

Five Isle of Man students will take part in a “life-changing” visit to the Gambia after raising more than #163;27,000 for various charities. The pupils from Queen Elizabeth II High School in Peel will visit development projects in the country in February after winning the school team prize at the Giving Nation Social Action Awards. They raised the money for charities including the Haiti Earthquake Appeal, Children In Need and the British Red Cross.
