A new series of computer games can help primary teachers identify pupils’

learning difficulties and assess pupils whose first language is not English. Smart Cat Games, developed with support from the Department for Education and Skills, help to assess literacy, numeracy and emotional recognition. The aim is to provide teachers with evidence for pupils’

foundation stage profiles.
