Pupils at Noble Primary in Bellshill, Glasgow, have turned a neglected quadrangle into a Jubilee Garden with decking, a water feature, herbs and other plants.
The P5 children organised a sponsored silence to finance their project and involved parents to help with removing old trees. Their company, with an appointed general manager, administration manager, financial manager and head gardener, has made arrangements to have the garden looked after over the summer and hopes to start an after-school gardening club so they can continue their work in P6 and P7.
