Pupils are being encouraged to hold mock elections in class to boost interest in May’s National Assembly vote. The “Y Vote” elections, run by the Hansard Society and Electoral Commission, encourage pupils to stand as candidates, write speeches, report for school newspapers and design campaign posters. A resource pack for teachers can be downloaded from www.mockelections.co.uk
