How neatly Stephen Petty’s article (TES, April 27) illustrates Kate Myers’

piece on gender stereotyping on the opposite page of the comment section.

It descends from making a fair point to totally inappropriate personal denigration of the girl’s appearance. That is precisely why Genderwatch is needed. Unfortunately, elsewhere a headteacher is quoted as saying it will make “not one iota” of difference to school life. It jolly well should.
