Coasts is a major part of the curriculum across the age range.
Ask pupils to use modelling dough to make landscapes of before, during and after erosion with cliffs, natural arches, wave-cut platforms and so on.
The different points of view explored in the article about how coasts should be managed can be investigated through role-play and debate. Combine classes or conduct the debate in an assembly to add an extra dimension.
JGCSE and A-level students could compare attitudes towards coastal erosion in different parts of the world. A web search for “coastal erosion country” will provide a range of material about MEDCs and LEDCs.
