Pupils respond well to a quiz approach to learning in nearly all subjects.

Their competitive nature motivates them to do their own research for a topic and to challenge their peers with a variety of questions.

I keep a quiz box in which pupils post their questions related to the current topic. A question is selected at random from the box and each group in turn is given 30 seconds to discuss and answer it.

The game aspect makes learning a topic fun and actively engages all abilities. I have seen evidence of good teamwork, independent learning and increased subject knowledge from this Asif Esat teaches at Shenton Primary in Leicester
