Get in the swing

Did you know that teachers, along with police officers, are the biggest swingers in town? Yes, that kind of "swinger". Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist Dave Barry actually took his wife to a swingers' convention and met these teachers, all in the course of duty, naturally. But schoolhouse thong and dance was not really his cup of (Long Island) tea. You can read his column on this and many other topics on the website of the Miami Herald, Dave's employer since 1988. In its words: "Barry writes about various major issues relating to the international economy, the future of democracy, the social infrastructure and exploding toilets." There's not a curriculum link in sight, but it's excellent writing and funny too. Dave Barry won the Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 1988.
