Studying monkeys in Lopburi, 150 kilometers north of Bangkok, they found mother monkeys would take twice as much time to floss their teeth when baby monkeys were watching. The results surprised Professor Nobuo Masataka of Kyoto University’s Primate Research Institute, who said: “Teaching techniques on using tools properly to a third party is said to be an activity carried out only by humans.”

While the importance of cleaning teeth is one element of PSHE taught in schools, the monkeys used a tool that’s not on the curriculum - human hair.
