A FORMAL written warning has been given to Maire Whitehead, head of St Mirin’s primary and leading figure in the Association of Head Teachers in Scotland, over her role in Glasgow’s “ghost pupils” saga.
Mrs Whitehead will now return to work after the Easter break.
It is believed heads caught up in the affair were fingered because the ghosts claimed 100 per cent attendance.
Wlliamina McDonald, head at Dowanhill primary, is also back at work while the education department completes its investigation into registration and absence recording.
The city is to conduct a disciplinary hearing against Jessie Goldie, head of Kennedy Street nursery, although her suspension has been lifted. Lesley Dalgleish, head of Mount Florida primary, remains suspended.
