Girls allowed

An Austrian academic has suggested that girls may do better in schools because of their tendency to be more co-operative and the fact that teaching is dominated by women. Dr Ferdinand Eder of Salzburg university said teachers in Austria rated boys in maths classes as slightly better than girls, but gave the latter higher marks.
