Get ready for take-off at the new Concorde exhibition and tour at the Museum of Flight in North Berwick, East Lothian. From March 18, school groups can get on board. Through an exhibition and on-board film, pupils can learn about the people who designed, built, worked and travelled on this iconic aircraft. There are also some fascinating facts available, such as the plane’s top speed of 1,340 miles per hour (twice the speed of sound), and that at full power Concorde guzzled some 6,180 gallons of fuel per hour.
