Sometimes Diary wonders if the world has passed her desk by. Ano doubt justifiably proud teacher wrote to the paper this week to pass on these bemusing tidings:“I am DHT of a large primary school in Kent. One of my many responsibilities is Study Support and OSHL.

“We have recently been awarded the nationally recognised QiSS mark at Established level and will soon be assessed for ESCOP at Established level.” NAA (National Acronym Award) at Excessive level next, perhaps?
