More than 500 former pupils and teachers helped celebrate the 50th anniversary of a special school set up by the charity Scope. Craig y Parc school, near Cardiff, was one of the first to give children with physical disabilities access to education. In 1955, responsibility for educating special-needs children lay with health authorities.
